Arcade, Inc., based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is the recognized world leader in the manufacture of proprietary pull–apart fragrance samplers, based on its proprietary microencapsulation technology. Pull–part fragrance samplers are distributed broadly through magazine inserts, remittance envelopes and wet and dry samplers. Customers for Arcade’s scented products include virtually all of the national and international fragrance companies. Liberty acquired privately–held Arcade, Inc. in November 1993. Following the acquisition, the Company broadened its base of proprietary technology, increased its non–U.S. business, and expanded its customer base in new markets.
